Finding Stillness in a Busy Day

Stillness is not about doing nothing. It is about creating small pauses that let you return to yourself.

Stillness has a reputation problem. We imagine it as an empty hour, a quiet room, a cleared schedule — and so we never get there.

But stillness is not the absence of activity. It is the presence of attention.

**A pause counts.** Sixty seconds of slow breathing between meetings is stillness. So is a cup of warm water drunk without your phone.

**Lower the bar.** You do not need a cushion, an app, or a free afternoon. You need a doorway, a breath, and the willingness to stop for a moment.

**Notice, do not perform.** The goal is not to look calm. The goal is to actually arrive where you already are — in your body, in this room, in this minute.

When you string enough small pauses together, the day starts to feel different. Not slower, exactly. But more yours.
